Mineral Still Life

In the spring of 2017, I destroyed most of my rocks as part of a performance piece (naked, in the entrance of my favorite uranium mine in the San Rafael Swell of Utah; it was very cool, trust me). Before I smashed them all with a sledgehammer, I scanned them using a high-resolution photo scanner (thanks, Charise!) I took the scanned images and composited them into these still life-eske portraits.

I also made the rocks into a repeating fabric pattern that I then used to create windbreaker jackets using my favorite weird apparel fabrication company, CowCow.com.
