Idle Hands Quilt

In summer 2017, I designed this quilt as a contemplative exercise. Inspired by Bauhaus textile artists Gunta Stölzl and Anni Albers, I created this patchwork-heavy quilt so that every detail was meant to be time consuming, down to the hand-stitching details. I used the exhaustive making process to help me navigate decisions I would soon be making regarding love, where I was going to live, and what arena of my life I was going to pursue.

And then I moved to Chicago!
